JSC NIS
The purpose of JSC NIS is to provide navigation services and to accomplish the tasks confronting federal and regional authorities.

According to the Government Regulation of the RF of July,11 2009 N549 JSC NIS is entitled with the functions of a federal network operator providing navigation services. The main federal network operator functions are as follows:

• Providing services of designing, introduction, service and information maintenance of technical and hardware/software means;
• Oragnization of training seminars on satellite navigation technologies usage for personnel;
• Participating in integration of GLONASS with foreign satellite navigation systems;
• Determination of united rules, norms and requirements for the designers and producers of solutions based on GLONASS technologies with a view to provide the unity of technological management in the sphere of navigation activity as well as rendering of services in the field of satellite navigation.

JSC NIS сreates the conditions for mass usage and development of GLONASS technologies in Russian and foreign markets, provides exploitation of navigation infrastructure and development of satellite navigation based operator services, improving GLONASS competitiveness.

The ALMAZ-ANTEY CONCERN JSC is establishes in accordance with the Decree of the Russian Federation’s President in April, 2002. The Concern is one of the greatest integrated structures which includes more than fifty scientific organizations and industrial enterprises.

Pavel Ф. Sozinov, First Deputy Designer General – Deputy Director General for Scientific/Technical Concern’s progress, is appointed as Chief Designer with respect to GLONASS navigation users’ equipment. He gives much attention to development and wide application of satellite navigation technologies for national economy and state’s defense capacity. He is carrying out a tremendous work on integration of industrial and scientific organizations, as well as commercial companies, for creating the up-to-date competitive domestic navigation technology and systems on its base for using in various economic branches.

Research Design Lab. «NAVIS» was set up in 1996. The main area of our scientific and technical activity is the creation of the navigation and timing equipment, based on GLONASS/GPS signals. We produce technologies and equipment, which use SNS GLONASS and GPS signals, including special-purpose navigation equipment, navigation equipment for marine and air application, devices of time-and-frequency synchronization for communication systems, technological equipment of SNS GLONASS and GPS signal imitation and additions of WAAS, MSAAS and EGNOS types.
