The 5th International Satellite Navigation Forum will celebrate its jubilee in a week
The International Satellite Navigation Forum will take place on June 1-2, 2011, in Moscow, at the Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre”. This year the Forum will celebrate its jubilee.
Round tables on the backbone state projects: “Standardization and certification in navigation as an effective mechanism of protecting the GLONASS-technologies market from products of poor-quality and unfair competition” and “Social GLONASS” are planned to be held in the framework of the Forum.
The Forum opens on June 1 at 10 a.m. with the plenary session which heads of leading Russian industrial companies and also foreign specialists from the USA, Europe, China and India will take part in:
- Sergey Ivanov – Deputy Head of the Government of the Russian Federation
- Valery Subbotin – First Deputy General Director – General Designer of OJSC “Russian Space Systems”
- Aleksandr Gurko – General Director of OJSC “Navigation and Information Systems”
- Ray Clore – Senior Advisor for GNSS Issues, the U.S. Department of State
- Valery Babakov – Chief Designer of User Navigation Equipment, PVO “Almaz-Antey”
- Pieter De Smet – Policy officer of the European Commission
- Wang Jue – Senior Engineer, an expert of the China National Administration of GNSS and Applications (CNAGA)
- Ramesh Hooda – Chief Scientist of Haryana Space Applications Centre (HARSAC), India
- Cliff Fox – Executive Vice President of NAVTEQ Map
- Vladimir Klimov – Executive Director of the Association «GLONASS/GNSS-Forum».
Traditional themes of the Forum include – the last tendencies and development prospects for navigation satellite systems, the commercialization and the improvement of the competitiveness of the domestic GLONASS systems, the introduction of the solutions and systems on its base into the social and economic practice of Russia:
- The transport safety and the system emergency response “ERA-GLONASS”
