The federal network operator in the field of navigation activity OJSC “NIS” has considered an appeal concerning an opportunity to give support in organizing and holding the 5th International Satellite Navigation Forum which will take place on June 1-2 at the Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre”, and has confirmed its status “Strategic partner”.
The participation in forming a strategy and a common policy of the development of the technologies GLONASS including the determination of uniform requirements for developers and manufacturers of solutions on its basis are among the main tasks facing “NIS GLONASS”. Also there are questions of integrating GLONASS with systems and equipment operating with the signals of foreign satellite navigation systems in the zone of the responsibility of the Federal network operator.
The International Satellite Navigation Forum represents a central event of the year in the field of social and commercial use of satellite navigation technologies and, first of all, the Russian satellite navigation system GLONASS. Over 100 speakers from Russia, CIS and non-CIS states, representatives of ministries and departments, private companies, foreign and international organizations will take part in the Forum.
